| | FOOD SAFETY WORKSHOP - A Food Safety Workshop for growers, coordinated by California Citrus Mutual, is scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Santa Paula Community Center, 530 W. Main St., Santa Paula. The workshop is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. There is no charge and no registration is needed. The workshop will focus on GAP (Good Agricultural Practices). All growers are encouraged to attend. |
| | NEW SERVICES: Oxnard Lemon Company is now packing ORGANIC lemons and MEYER lemons on a year around basis.
Certified by CCOF, Oxnard Lemon Company has been certified to pack organic lemons since 2006. SEEDLESS lemons are available from November through March. More of a year around supply of SEEDLESS lemons will be coming in the future.

| | SUSTAINABILITY - Oxnard Lemon Company has been using the new electronic food safety document recording system from Certified Quality Assurance (CQA) since 2010. With the Cutter system employees complete food safety checklists and corrective actions electronically on PDAs. Critical sanitation material and temperature levels are also recorded automatically and electronically on the Cutter system. With the Cutter food safety system Oxnard Lemon Company has entered and maintained all food safety documentation electronically for over one year. The plan is to eliminate the huge paper requirement for today's food safety programs. |
